Port Phillip Bay is a significant resource. It is home for an estimated 10,000 species, with a greater number of endemic species than the Great Barrier Reef. It is a busy shipping port, a tourist destination and is of cultural significance. But like many other resources it is facing pressure from our changing climate. This session will examine the nature of the current and future climate for Bay and explore the impacts this has/will have on the local marine and coastal environments.
About the Presenters

Polperro Dolphin Tours have been working in Port Phillip Bay for over 30 years. Armed with their intimate knowledge of the Bay and passion for marine life they have been long term advocates for this environment. This resulted in the setting up of the Canopy of Care which produces educational resources on key environmental issues and facilitating and organising on site hands on learning experiences that showcase class room teaching.
