The whole country is waiting on the outcomes of today’s National Cabinet announcements, although Victorians will likely have to wait until Monday 11 May to find out what our next stage will look like. While we wait, we have plenty of COVID-19 safe guidelines to follow in which to prepare ourselves to resume business over the coming weeks & months. (See some quick links below).

As part of the Outdoor Council of Australia, (OCA) team, which included, 50 leading industry professionals and volunteers, OV has contributed to a comprehensive document, which is a framework for conducting Outdoor Recreation activities in a COVID-19 environment. This framework is primarily intended to provide industry advice to guide the public health and other statutory authorities in decisions regarding the appropriate manner in which to resume outdoor activities.  The document has been submitted for consideration to the Federal and respective State & Territory Government Ministers and relevant departments.

The framework will hopefully assist the state governments in forming up detailed strategies and clear guidelines for outdoor providers and community groups to follow for COVID-safe operations in the future.

The Australian Camps Association (ACA) have also drafted a very informative set of guidelines for camps COVID-19 Guidance Document for Camps

Safe Work Australia have a comprehensive online resource for a variety of workplaces. It covers every detail you can imagine from:

WorkSafe Victoria have also released Preparing for a pandemic: a guide for employers

Finally, consider installing the COVIDSafe App The COVIDSafe app speeds up contacting people exposed to coronavirus (COVID-19) (we acknowledge that this is voluntary)

To all the mums out there “Happy (very different) Mother’s Day” 🙂
