In FRANKLIN environmentalist Oliver embarks on a life-changing rafting trip down the Franklin River, retracing his late father’s expedition to attend the blockade that helped save the World-Heritage listed national park from destruction. This film about the ‘Franklin campaign’, Australia’s most significant environmental protest, has been met with enthusiasm from Outdoor Education teachers. Producer Chris Kamen will provide insights into the making of the film and introduce educators to free resources that will assist with using FRANKLIN in their classrooms.

About the Presenters

Chris Kamen is a producer, lawyer, and digital distribution specialist. He produced the AACTA and Walkley Award nominated, and critically acclaimed FRANKLIN (2022), which premiered at MIFF and continues to screen online, in cinemas and at community events. In his 20 years in the screen industry, Chris has produced feature-length documentaries, television, short films, web series and advertising and has pioneered innovative distribution methods on several projects. He currently works part-time at CJZ and Media Stockade as a digital distribution & business affairs advisor.
