EOIs to present at NOEC are CLOSED

Outdoor Education Australia & Outdoors Victoria warmly thanks all those who have submitted ABSTRACTS to present at the National Outdoor Education Conference held on Wed 4th – Fri 6th of December 2024 at Federation University (Gippsland Campus) in Churchill.

We are currently in the process of reviewing EOIs and pulling together the program across our FIVE streams:

  • Stream 1: Outdoor education discovery: Profiling the latest developments 
  • Stream 2: The restorative nature of the Outdoors: Growing community health & wellbeing
  • Stream 3:  Indigenous connections & diverse communities: Embracing different perspectives
  • Stream 4:  Action on climate change: Embedding sustainable practices & being climate ready 
  • Stream 5:  Strong foundations: Building quality operations & supporting thriving teams 

Important points:

  • Presentations will now mostly run for 25-50 mins (individual session) and these sessions will be workshops, lectures, panels or practical sessions
  • Special feature sessions will also be available for a select number of Presenters, running for 100 mins (double session for big picture issues). Available on Wed 4th (afternoon only).
  • Presenters must bring their own laptops and ensure they have a HDMI cable or adapter with them
  • ONE complimentary day-pass admission to the conference (on the day of your presentation) is available for the main presenter of each presentation
  • Please consider having a back-up person capable of delivering your presentation if you are unable to deliver your content as planned
  • EXTRA presenters will need to purchase their own tickets to the Conference at normal rates. Affiliate Supporter and early-bird rates are available at a discount.
  • For interstate or international Presenters, there will be free coach transfers from Melbourne Airport-Federation University (return) and you will be given first option to book accommodation onsite 
  • All ABSTRACTS will be reviewed by our Convenor Committee to ensure our Presentations cover content areas across our five streams and benefit the Outdoors Sector.  
  • NOTIFICATIONS to inform you whether or not your Presentation has been accepted into the Conference will be delivered by end of May.
