About the Presenter
Luke Parker is an educator with a deep commitment to outdoor learning. Luke initially taught in various Australian schools before transitioning to academia. His tenure at an Australian Catholic University for five years was marked by a deepening interest in research and outdoor education. As the Education Officer at Outdoors Victoria, he led the creation and distribution of over 30 teacher toolkits, crucial for embedding outdoor learning into curricula. In 2021, Parker advanced his dedication by starting a Ph.D. at the University of Kansas, focusing on outdoor learning’s role in U.S. education aiming to explore its implementation and impact in the first national wide study on outdoor learning.
