The presentation will focus on designing programs and operations that incorporate the use of ICT efficiently and effectively. During journey programs it is difficult to engage all learners through the use of journals and debrief, so at Rubicon we are developing programs that allow for ICT to be programmed into the journeys. As students are becoming more and more technologically savvy and literate, this mode of assessment is becoming increasingly important to measure student outcomes. Through building teachers knowledge around the use of ICT on programs, it allows for a ground up approach in engaging students in completing their learning journey while on program.
About the Presenter
I have been teaching at Rubicon outdoor school for the past 3 years. Prior to that I worked as the Outdoor Resources coordinator at Rubicon Outdoor School. I have worked in America as a MTB instructor and have managed the YMCA Phillip Island Coastal Discovery Camp. I am extremely passionate about providing meaningful experiences in the outdoors for all students, not just private students. It’s a great space to teach and learn.
