In Australia, outdoor education is a known sector, engaging many students in various programs. A systematic training curriculum is available for outdoor educators through TAFE and university programs. In contrast, outdoor education in India is a relatively new concept lacking any standardized training programs and national guidelines. Through a comparative analysis, this workshop aims to explore the contemporary challenges and growth outdoor education sector is facing in Australia and India.

About the Presenters

I am a practitioner and a recent research enthusiast in outdoor education. My lived experiences in various countries around the world have taught me to look at outdoor education through an inclusive lens. I presently work at the Outdoor Education Group (OEG) as a professional development manager.

Senior Manager Outdoor Education Professional Development at OEG. A 25-year veteran of the Outdoor Sector in Australia, working across Private companies, schools and Tertiary institutions.
