This session will provide participants with examples of how teaching in a nature program has supported embedding First Peoples perspectives. Learn about how including First Peoples perspectives in everyday practice led to two projects being developed that involved a kindergarten, long day care and two primary schools.’
Karen has been a kindergarten teacher at Balnarring Preschool since 1984. She developed the nature program in 2011 and is the President of the Early Childhood Outdoor Learning Network. Karen is committed to reconciliation embedding First Peoples perspectives into every day practice.
