THE CONSERVATION REGULATOR
The Conservation Regulator is responsible for the regulation of timber harvesting, fire prevention, use of public land, wildlife and biodiversity in Victoria. It oversees these functions by educating the community about the laws governing conservation and environment protection, providing guidance and support to encourage compliance, and by monitoring compliance and taking enforcement actions when needed.
The Conservation Regulator uses regulation to achieve three central outcomes: everyone has equitable and safe access to public land and the use of natural resources; the natural and heritage elements of our land are protected; and Victoria is a place of socially, economically and environmentally sustainable communities.
The Conservation Regulator sits within the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning. To find out more about who they are and what they do, visit their website at email@example.com, or follow them on Twitter @ConservationReg.

Some 90 years ago, a young bushwalker’s dissatisfaction with the limited and heavy bushwalking equipment available prompted him to design and make his own. Before long, word spread, and Paddy Pallin’s lightweight, functional designs were soon in demand among fellow bushwalkers. From its early days the company has concentrated on supplying bushwalkers, travellers and adventurers with the highest quality and most advanced products and knowledge. Since 1930 the company has grown to become Australia’s leading supplier of specialist outdoor and travel gear. Paddy Pallin, still owned by the Pallin family, now has eleven stores throughout Australia as well as online, mail order and corporate sales divisions.
At Risk Resolve, we combine research – informed evidence with over 25 years of practical experience to support organisations enhance their risk and safety management practice. We have supported schools, organisations, universities, regulators, and government agencies throughout Australia, as well as North America, the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia since 2007.
We believe that an effective safety management system shouldn’t solely be measured by an absence of serious accidents, but rather by the observable presence of enhanced dialogue, interaction, and collaboration between and across staff, leadership, boards, participants, and external partner organisations. The methods we apply at Risk Resolve support the identification and management of system-wide factors; the foreseeable risks, the cultural norms, and ways of working that may influence the achievement of optimal safety outcomes.
We’re down to earth, and up to date. We’re approachable, honest, and highly practical. We’re not cookie-cutter in our approach. Just ask our clients.
“In 2021, across four time zones, staff across all levels at our large organisation spent 12 weeks with Dr Clare Dallat teaching Risk Resolve’s new risk and crisis management course. Without a doubt, it has been the most comprehensive training we’ve ever attended. Clare’s ability to tease out subtle takeaways from our conversations and synthesize all the information coming in was incredible. We were able to develop our new framework and plans during this course. I know we are a better organization because of this course, and our learnings will bring even more improvements in the future as we practice the standards to which we have risen with Clare’s aid. She is an endless font of knowledge, and more importantly, she knows how to deliver and share that knowledge in a digestible, safe, and fun way.” Stuart Slay, National Safety Manager, The Student Conservation Association. USA.
“I have had the opportunity to work with Dr Clare Dallat over two decades, and more recently collaborated on a complex review for a leading emergency services organisation. This experience highlighted Clare’s ability to synthesize complex and contextual information quickly and articulate her insights clearly and directly. She engages respectfully with senior stakeholders and engenders confidence through considered questioning and careful listening. As we have worked together Clare regularly translates our discussions and conversations into tangible actions that support the ability to propose concise and targeted advice and recommendations. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with Clare and Risk Resolve.” Mark Dingle, Partner, Deloitte – Risk Advisory
“Dr Clare Dallat and Risk Resolve bring a refreshing, intuitive perspective to risk management. Clare knows how to ask the right questions, using holistic systems methodology to look beyond the typical box ticking that has been prevalent in past approaches to risk. Clare partners with leaders and organisations to understand their true risk profile and incident management readiness, mapping a realistic pathway for improvement. Her professionalism, experience, and dedication to impactful advisory practice positions her as one of the best in the field of risk and crisis management.” Dr Loren Miller, CEO/Co-Chair of Outward Bound Australia

OUTDOORS PEOPLE FOR CLIMATE
Outdoors People for Climate is an Australia-wide grassroots organisation run by and for the outdoor community. We’re not-for-profit, non-partisan and volunteer led. Our community of supporters include bushwalkers, rock climbers, mountain bikers, outdoor educators, and many others who love being outside. Through media and our facilitated climate conversations, we’re speaking up about how climate change is affecting the places we love and is creating new barriers for Australians to benefit from time spent in nature. We’re connecting with outdoors people through events and presentations, sharing tools for impactful actions and demonstrating our power as citizens and community members. At industry events, workplaces and committees, we’re working alongside outdoor businesses to explore meaningful solutions for the outdoor sectors. Representing the outdoor community, we work closely with leading climate and environmental organisations to pursue large-scale change, as we call on our decision makers to slash greenhouse gases this decade.
