Outdoor Businesses & NFP’s

It’s true, Lori Modde did not come from the Outdoor Industry into the role of CEO of Outdoors NSW & ACT. What would she know about how to run the peak body for an industry she hasn’t come from? Well, as you will understand from this presentation, she isn’t there to know the skills, the activities, the business of our industry players, she and other peak bodies are there to create the environments in which the industry flourishes.

Every industry likes to consider themselves unique and, in many ways, they are, but with parallels that can from other industries and sectors. The secret is to find the parallels and look at where they could possibly find solutions that need not be reinvented but just applied.

As a past CEO of other industry associations, amongst other roles, Lori will guide us through the learnings from other industries that will provide betterment, growth, and sustainability of the Outdoor Industry into the future. Lessons that once learnt will unite the industry for a strong future.
