The past few years have shown us that we can be affected by an emergency at any time.
Many of us have thought about what to do in a bushfire, and maybe flood, but what about severe storm? earthquake? tsunami?
In this presentation we’ll look at building your knowledge of emergency management, a few things you can do to be better prepared and outline some of the changes that are being implemented nationally in 2021.
Reegan has been one of our Outdoors Victoria Board Members, since 2017.
Her first priority is as a busy mum of two preschoolers.
In her day job she manages Operational Communications at Emergency Management Victoria. Her role focuses in two parts;
– managing Victoria’s State public information team at the State Control Centre, and
– maintaining a best practice approach to emergency communications, though the management and improvement of warnings, media engagement and community information across all emergencies.
In 2020 she was awarded a Public Service Medal for her work in emergency communications.
