Launching Our 2026 Professional Development Opportunities-
We’re excited to share the first release of Outdoors Victoria’s 2026 Professional Development (PD) opportunities! Building on your feedback and the strong engagement we’ve seen across the sector, next year’s program is designed to be even better.
What’s Coming in 2026
VCE & OES Teacher PD– Online & in-person workshops
We will continue delivering targeted online and in-person workshops to support VCE Outdoor & Environmental Studies and OES teachers. These sessions focus on curriculum alignment, assessment readiness, planning, and practical strategies for strengthening student learning. Also, a great way to network and meet others in the same space.
Expanded Online Workshop Library– New recordings will be available in 2026
Our online PD library is growing, with recorded workshops presented by experts across the outdoor sector that you can revisit in your own time. These sessions are designed for activity providers, practitioners, program directors, students, and anyone seeking flexible, affordable learning.
Showcasing Sector Training & Courses
In 2026, we’re broadening our platform to promote high-quality PD being delivered across the state. From technical skill development and navigation courses to first aid qualifications and leadership training, our PD Hub will highlight the fantastic opportunities being offered by organisations throughout Victoria.
We’re also continuing to promote and integrate resources from the Outdoor Learning Hub, an incredible collection of practical tools, lesson ideas, templates, and teaching supports for generalist teachers looking to embed outdoor learning into their classrooms.
The hub is one of the most user-friendly and impactful resources for educators beginning their outdoor learning journey. In 2026, the Outdoor Learning Hub will continue to sit alongside our PD offerings, giving teachers free, ready-to-use resources that complement our workshops and strengthen outdoor learning programs in schools.
