As outdoor practitioners we are already experiencing increased risks from volatile and changing weather and environmental conditions. How can we best prepare to successfully and safety adapt? This session will introduce Outward Bounds’ initiative to establish a National Centre for Outdoor Risk and Readiness (NatCORR). It will share industry co-design feedback and insights about pressing challenges and needs, and the planned program of activities across four key workstreams.
About the Presenters

As Executive Co-Chair of Outward Bound Australia, Loren has returned to outdoor education to lead through a time of crisis and change, as a capstone to 20 years in executive roles in universities and management consulting. Loren is the founder of a collaborative initiative to establish a National Centre for Outdoor Risk and Readiness in Australia – to mitigate climate change impacts. Loren has a Doctorate of Education, MBA, Graduate Diploma of Education, Bachelor of Science, CPA and AICD.
