For secondary school teachers delivering Unit 3 VCE Outdoor and Environmental Studies (OES), the revised 2024 VCAA Study Design introduces new requirements. Educators will now need to guide students in exploring and inquiring about:
- New and revised key knowledge and Key Skills
- The importance of observations of key knowledge and studying the content of the course in real outdoor environments.
- Outdoor Experiences and their connection to Outcome 3, Unit 4.
- Logbooks and Area of Study 3, Unit 4 briefly.
Jarrod is a curriculum expert and has written the VCE Outdoor Environmental Studies subject for Year 12’s to support online learning. With 20 years of teaching experience and a life of outdoor adventuring, he enjoys nothing more than sharing his vast knowledge with OES Teachers.
