Following last October’s successful inaugural nature-based tourism forum, Outdoors Victoria are delighted to be partnering withParks Victoria to deliver a one-day intensive forum for Victoria’s nature-based tourism community.
Since his appointment as Parks Victoria’s Chief Executive late last year, Bradley Fauteux has been engaging energetically with parks stakeholders across the state, and beginning a process of revitalisation in the management of our state’s critical natural areas. Come hear from Bradley about his vision for our parks, and how we can work together to grow nature-based tourism opportunities.
Registration now open!
We know how hard it can be for tour operators, camps and nature-based tourism organisations, often located far from Melbourne, to keep on top of government policy and engage with government agencies. We’ve tried to help by bringing together key staff from all major government agencies relating to nature-based tourism in one place at one time.
Come hear about the latest policies directly relevant to you- things like new funding under the regional tourism infrastructure fund, a new draft Biodiversity Strategy that aims to get more people connected with nature, the new Australian Adventure Activity Standards, the “Wander Victoria” marketing initiative, and many more.
This event will include speakers from:
- Parks Victoria
- Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning
- Tourism Victoria / Visit Victoria
- Outdoors Victoria
- The Victorian Tourism Industry Council
- Regional Development Victoria
- Special case study: Lizzie Corke, Conservation Ecology Centre & Great Ocean Ecolodge
We’ve also scheduled in time for one-on-one interaction between key staff from the above agencies, as well as networking with your peers.
We hope to see you there!
